These terms are the agreement between you and MonyCompany Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) covering your use of Frida. By using Frida you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the app. They are also the end user license agreement for the app.
You must be at least 17 years old. Frida is a conversation with a generative model, and a model can produce text no one wrote or reviewed in advance. If you are using Frida for an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms on its behalf, and “you” means both you and that organization.
Frida uses Sign in with Apple, and nothing else. There is no password for us to hold and none for you to lose. You are responsible for the Apple ID you sign in with and for what happens under it, including what an agent does on your instruction. If you think someone else has reached your device or your Apple ID, secure them and tell us.
Frida is currently offered through TestFlight, and parts of it are early software. Features may change or disappear, availability is not guaranteed, builds expire, and we may grant or withdraw access at our discretion.
Frida answers by sending your conversation to a third-party model provider and showing you what comes back. That has consequences you should hold onto:
Do not use Frida to break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, or harm anyone. In particular, do not use Frida — or try to make Frida produce content — to:
There is no tolerance for the first item on that list, and no warning before we act on it.
If Frida produces something objectionable, or if you believe another person is using it in breach of section 5, write to seungyong@usemony.com with what happened and, if you can, the text itself. We aim to acknowledge a report within 24 hours and to act on it within a reasonable period after that. Acting on it may mean adjusting how the app instructs the model, reporting the matter to our model provider, suspending an account, or removing access entirely. We may end your access to Frida immediately, without notice, for a breach of section 5.
What you bring to Frida stays yours, and it stays on your device. We host none of it. Where part of a request has to reach a model provider or another service for the agent to answer, you grant us a limited license to transmit and process that part for the purpose of running Frida for you, and nothing more. We do not train models on it. You are responsible for having the rights to what you bring, and for not putting anything into the conversation that you are not permitted to send to a third-party processor. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is sent, and to whom.
You choose what Frida may reach. Some of it is on the phone already: with your permission it reads your calendar and reminders, your location, your photo library, and plays from Apple Music. Some of it is reached over your own login: Frida connects to Linear, Notion, Granola, Stripe, Sentry, and Ramp through each service’s OAuth flow, which you authorize with that provider and can revoke there or in the app at any time.
Agents act on the instructions and permissions you give them, and their output can be wrong. An action an agent takes is a real action. It can write an event into your calendar, create reminders, and read and write in a connected account on your behalf, with real consequences. Review what an agent proposes before relying on it, and do not give an agent access you would not give a person in the same seat. Third-party services you connect are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them or for what they do with the requests your device sends them.
Frida, including its software, design, and trademarks, belongs to us. These terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service, and nothing more.
Frida is free during the beta. If we introduce paid plans, purchases made in the app are processed by Apple under Apple’s terms, billed in advance, and non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise or where Apple grants a refund. We may change pricing with reasonable notice, effective at your next billing period.
This agreement is between you and us, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for Frida or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. If the app fails to conform to any warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price; beyond that, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual property claims, and any such claim is our responsibility, not Apple’s. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo and are not on any US Government restricted party list. You must comply with any third-party terms that apply to your use of the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
You may stop using Frida at any time. Delete Account in the app erases what it holds on your device, and deleting the app removes the same material. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, or if we discontinue the app. Export anything you want to keep before you go.
Frida is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, secure, or error free, or that model output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, including anything arising from your reliance on model output or from an action an agent took on your instruction. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the app will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of Frida, your content, or your breach of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page and change the date above, and continuing to use Frida after a change means you accept it.
